Jim Davis, a Charlotte native and East Meck High School graduate, joined his father Louis to form the Davis Group in 1983. Preceding his start into the securities industry, Jim attended NC State University and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He later continued his education at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he earned his MBA.

In 2022, Jim and his son Vic formed Davis Investment Partners. Throughout his 40+ years in the investment business, Jim has served his clients through unstable markets, financial meltdowns, military conflicts and global pandemics. Jim uses his engineering problem-solving skills to generate solutions to his clients’ wealth management uncertainties.

Jim and his wife Lynn, married for 40 years, raised 3 children in Charlotte. Jim is active with Kindermourn and Moments of Hope Church. Outside the office, Jim enjoys playing golf, exercising, and spending time with his grandchildren.
