Jim Davis

Jim Davis, a Charlotte native and East Meck High School graduate, joined his father Louis to form the Davis Group in 1983. Preceding his start into the securities industry, Jim attended NC State University and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He later continued his education at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he earned his MBA.

In 2022, Jim and his son Vic formed Davis Investment Partners. Throughout his time in the investment business, Jim served his clients through unstable markets, financial meltdowns, military conflicts and global pandemics. Jim used his engineering problem-solving skills to generate solutions to his clients’ wealth management uncertainties.

Jim and his wife Lynn, married for over 40 years, raised 3 children in Charlotte.

At the end of 2024, Jim retired from Davis Investment Partners after an illustrious 43-year career.
